Volvo India has launched the updated 2014 S80 sedan in two versions. Both versions of the S80 sedan come with diesel engines.The base 2.0-litre 163bhp diesel D4 variant is priced at Rs. 41.35 lakh, while the top-end 2.4-litre 212bhp diesel D5 variant costs Rs. 44.80 lakh.
Volvo hasn't significantly changed the car, just subtle tweaks to add to its appeal. The updated Volvo S80 sports a smaller grille, new headlights with daytime-running lamps and revised front and rear bumpers. It gets new alloys as well. There's also new equipment in the form of a new seven-inch touchscreen and in-car internet connectivity (by syncing via your mobile phone). The digital instrument cluster can be customised, like the one in the V40, to display information regarding fuel efficiency and performance.
